I just found this blog post about Toronto Batman reaching out and offering to help in Aurora, Colorado.  You picture him being loud and shouting “My Parents Are Dead!”, but this is the side of him that a lot of people don’t get to see.  I didn’t even know about this until right now.

After the Aurora shooting (I was in the theater) one of the first people to reach out to me (and the Aurora community) was Toronto Batman. He sent us a message expressing his sorrow for the experience, and asked how he could help. He offered to fly to Denver, on his own dime, and just be there for whatever was needed. He asked how he could help with relief efforts for the community, including offering to show up in costume for fundraising events. Christian Bale didn’t offer to show up at my house and get involved in helping the community heal—Toronto Batman did.
